Female tourist attacked by monks at Chinese monastery

According to china.org.cn, a female tourist said several monks threw stones on her and claimed to beat her to death when she visited Wutai mountain in mid July, the eastday.com reported. The tourist delivered a message through an official BBS to the Party Secretary of Shanxi province and described her experience in the world famous view spot gathering 53 sacred monasteries. She said she saw three or four monks forcing to stop workers from building a wall. She tried to mediate them but received only insults and threatens. Later, other several monks came to the site and hammered equipment of the construction team. When the female tourist videoed their behavior, they became exasperated and threw stones on her.
