Dong Nai, Vietnam: Hand-foot-mouth disease claims life of two people

HANOI, June 14 (Xinhua) — The hand-foot-mouth disease (HFM) and dengue fever have developed quickly and unexpectedly across Vietnam’s southern Dong Nai province, warned the provincial preventive medicine center in its report released on Thursday. According to the report, the HFM disease spread to 169 out of 171 communes in Dong Nai province, about 1,120 km south of capital Hanoi, killing two and affecting 2,000 local people since the beginning of this year, while nearly 1,800 people from 154 communes were contracted with dengue fever that killed one patient.
