A typhoon has hit south-east China, with powerful winds and heavy rains leaving two people dead, power cuts and flights and train services cancelled. Typhoon Fitow struck Fuding city in Fujian province, with winds of up to 94mph (151kph) early on Monday morning, then slowed before weakening to a tropical storm, the National Meteorological Centre said.
