California: College student from New York dies in accident near Yosemite

Mercurynews.com reports that Annais Rittenberg, 21, the art counselor who died at Camp Tawonga near Yosemite National Park when a giant oak spontaneously fell next to the dining hall, was studying environmental conservation at UC Santa Cruz and wanted a career involving nature and possibly photography. The Porter College student, spending her second summer as a counselor at Camp Tawonga, would have been a senior in the fall, campus officials said. Read article
