Brazil: Federal Police at Fortaleza International Airport apprehend Roman tourist for carrying cocaine

| FORTALEZA, Brazil – A 23-year-old Romanian was caught red-handed on Saturday by Federal Police (PF) carrying cocaine at the international airport in Fortaleza. The man, who was about to board a flight to Lisbon, was carrying 3.9 kg (8.6 lbs) of pure cocaine hidden in his suitcase. According to the PF, the arrest occurred when a routine x-ray of the man’s two bags indicated the presence of an organic substance. During a search of the bags, police found the cocaine hidden in the lining of the bags.
