Travel Alert: Dengue cases increasing in Thailand, 2013

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration recently warned that the number of dengue fever cases is on the rise in the capital, and the spread of the tropical disease is likely to be more serious this year.
The BMA’s health department has issued a statement saying that dengue fever tends to spread during the rainy season, but Bangkok has recently seen rising numbers of dengue infection During other seasons.
Travelers who lived in areas where dengue occurs and becomes ill with fever symptoms and severe headache, pain in joints and muscles, and skin rashes within 14 days of homecoming is recommended to seek medical care. Read Article
