Mexico: U.S. Tourist dies Puerto Vallarta, jumps from tenth floor of Hotel Dreams

Prensaglobal.com reported at around 6:00 pm on Friday January 11, 2013, there were reports that a woman was allegedly thrown from the tenth floor of Hotel Dreams by her husband. After a police investigation, police believed that Stephanie Carslon suffered from extreme depression which contributed to her action. The married couple Steven and Stephanie Carslon arrived in Puerto Vallarta on Monday. According to the husband, the woman was extremely depressed, and was on medication.

Police believed at first the couple had an argument and was arrested by police. However, after investigating the matter, it appeared he tried to prevent her jumping to her death. The news report indicated that he ran to the balcony and saw his wife’s corpse below with hotel staff looking on, horrified. The Attorney General and staff of the Jalisco Institute of Forensic Sciences found no signs of struggle or disorder. It was determined that the husband had nothing to do and he was released.
