Canadian travellers should remain cautious public areas in Russia due to terrorist incidents

Terrorist incidents can occur throughout Russia, including in Moscow. Canadians should be cautious in public places, particularly on public transportation, and at events where large numbers of people gather. On January 24, 2011, an explosion took place at Domodedovo International Airport in Moscow. It is reported that over 30 people have been killed and more than 100 injured. On March 29, 2010, explosions took place in two Moscow subway stations during the morning rush hour, killing at least 37 people and injuring 120.
