Gulfnews.com reports that an elderly tourist visiting Al Khan beach drowned on Sunday morning. A Sharjah Police official said the police operations room received a notification about an Armenian woman who was in difficulty. The emergency services went to the scene but the 75-year-old woman was already dead. Her body was taken to Kuwaiti Hospital and later to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy. Read article

The Himalayan Times reports that an Australian national of Chinese origin has died after drowning into Bhurdungi River of Dansingh-5, Jhaarkuna, while swimming. The incident occurred at around 12:30 pm on Wednesday. The deceased identified as Zhoujin (27) was on a visit to Kaski through Annapurna Base Camp Adventure Agency. Read article
