According to kentnews.co.uk, police are appealing for witnesses after an 18-year-old Japanese student was robbed in Canterbury. The woman had just got off a bus at 9.30pm on Saturday, August 17 and was walking in St George’s Place by the Waitrose car park entrance when a man approached her from behind and grabbed her handbag. The victim tried to keep hold of her handbag and fell to the ground and was dragged along while the suspect kept pulling and eventually managed to grab it. She suffered extensive grazing.
