British journalist beaten by Sudanese security agents at protest

Stuff.co.nz reports that a British journalist working for Bloomberg News in Sudan says security agents detained and beat him for covering the country’s biggest anti-government protest in years. Sudan’s information ministry could not be reached for comment, but a senior official in the ruling party condemned the security action as ”unacceptable”. Read article

Road accident in UAE kills Bangladeshi and Sri Lankan expats

Ceylontoday.lk reports that three workers were killed and 16 injured after the bus they were travelling in crashed in Fujairah, UAE.
