A tourist couple from West Bengal was killed and nine other passengers were injured when the vehicle they were traveling skidded off the road at Phidang along the Dikchu-Singtam road on May 22 evening, according to a isikkim.com report. The tourists were returning to Gangtok after a trip to North Sikkim when the mishap occurred at around 8:30 pm. The deceased persons have been identified as retired army officer Sujit Kumar Neogi (47) and his wife Nividita Neogi (41). They were from Digalgram area of Bankura district. Read article
