New Zealand: Tourist from U.S. pleads guitly in vehicle death, allowed to leave

au.news.yahoo.com reported an American tourist who hit and killed an Auckland grandmother in a road crash on the Coromandel Peninsula will fly home after the victim’s family forgave him. Robyn Eilleen Derrick, 52, died after the campervan being driven by Cody Dickey crossed the centre line of State Highway 25 at Whenuakite and crashed into the ute being driven by her husband.
The 23-year-old Californian man was in New Zealand with his wife to celebrate their second wedding anniversary before the fatal crash on Queen’s Birthday weekend. Read Article
