Laura Webb, 34, and her ex-husband Paul Makin were arrested in 2009 as they tried to fly home from a holiday on Venezuela’s Margarita Island with 53Ib (24kg) of cocaine hidden inside their luggage.
Altough Ms Webb has always insisted that she was unaware of the drugs, she was found guilty of being an accessory to trafficking and sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison. Her sentence was later commuted to three years. Read article
