Shanghai China: mass slaughter of poultry, fear over new strain of bird flu

Shanghai has ordered a mass slaughter of poultry because of growing concerns over a new strain of bird flu. Six people have died in China after contracting the H7N9 virus. 14 cases have been confirmed, all in eastern provinces.

Japan: Mount Fuji eruption could force 75,000 residents to evacuate

Cambodia: Japanese tourist killed in roller coaster accident

As reported by Japantimes.co.jp, a female Japanese tourist died Friday night in a roller coaster derailment at an amusement park in Cambodia, a local government official said Saturday.
