Venezuela: Couple vacationing in Cuba returns home with cholera

Eluniversal.com reports that the Venezuelan Society of Public Health reported that in the country there are two people infected with cholera. In the medical society statement indicates that these two people are a couple who was traveling in Cuba and returned to the country this week. They add that the disease is confirmed by laboratory tests, and patients are hospitalized in a private clinic in the capital. “Unofficially, we know that on August 7, 2013, we identified two cases of cholera imported from Cuba that were laboratory confirmed and hospitalized in private clinics in eastern Caracas.
