United States: Tourist family rescued after getting lost overnight in the Everglades

As reported by miamiherald.com, ” A family from Ohio was found safe Friday afternoon after losing their way on an Everglades airboat ride and spending a harrowing night in the swamp.The search ended at 1 p.m. Friday when the family of five was located in the Everglades. The family from Akron, Ohio — a husband, wife and three children — weren’t hurt after their airboat ride became an overnight ordeal. Miami-Dade Fire-Rescue is working to find the best way to bring the family back to dry land. The family has been identified as Scott Schreck, 44, his wife Carie, 42, and their three sons Drew, 9, Luke, 7, and Zane, who is between 3 and 4, according to Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.” Read Article
