U.S.:Travel alert issued for Guinea over upcoming elections

As reported by Travel.state.gov, The U.S. Department of State alerts U.S. citizens traveling to or living in Guinea to the upcoming legislative elections scheduled for June 30, 2013. This Travel Alert expires on July 15, 2013. Opposition political parties have objected to the date set for the elections as well as other concerns. This opposition has manifested itself in marches and demonstrations over the past several months, some of which have turned violent, resulting in fatalities. Read Article
