Three Chinese tourists robbed at Detroit bus stop

Detroitnews.com reports that three visitors from China, in town for a conference, learned the hard way that Detroit’s bus stops are often hotbeds of crime, even in broad daylight. The three men, ages 23, 25 and 26, were standing at a bus stop on 8 Mile near Cheyanne on the city’s west side Wednesday at about 9:30 a.m. when three suspects approached and demanded one of the victims’ backpack, Detroit Police Officer Dan Donakowski said. “An altercation ensued, and the suspects made off with the backpack,” Donakowski said.
