The jury of 5 men and 4 women took just over 7 hours to deliver their verdict to the packed courtroom, which included members of the defendant’s family and two friends. Burke stood accused of stabbing ferry steward Abraham Báez (24) during a drink-fuelled confrontation which was triggered by an argument between their respective girlfriends at around 6am on 30 April 2010.
