Peru: Yellow Fever alert Huanta Province

inforegion.pe reported that —- Huanta province in Vraem, by the Department of Epidemiology, Emergency and Disaster Ayacucho Regional Health Authority (DIRESA), this Epidemiological Alert declared institution throughout the region. The alleged victim of the disease was a 16-year-old, who went to the health center Llochegua presenting some of the symptoms of the dreaded yellow fever as high fever, headache, pallor and diarrhea.

In this situation, the executive director of Public Health Surveillance DIRESA, Tania Cardenas Gomez urged people traveling in the next few days the Valley of the Apurimac, Ene and Mantaro (Vraem), to apply the vaccine yellow fever with 10 days notice at any health facility…Read Article
