New York: Irish student believed to have drowned while rafting on the Delaware River

The Irish Independent reports that an Irish man on a student work visa is believed to have drowned while rafting on the Delaware River along the New York-Pennsylvania border. The 20-year-old got into difficulty while swimming beside the raft in the area of rapids near the town of Lumberland in New York. The young man – who was not wearing a life jacket – was with a group of friends when the incident happened on Saturday afternoon. Read article
