Hawaii: tourist ticketed for entering closed Sacred Falls State Park to rescue friendd

State officials say there will be zero tolerance for entering Sacred Falls State Park on Oahu’s windward side, which has been closed for about 13 years. The Department of Land and Natural Resources cited an 18-year-old tourist for entering the park last week. She was hiking with two juvenile boys when one of them slipped and fell. The 17-year-old boy needed to be rescued by the Honolulu Fire Department. Read Article
