Tourists killed near Quito in route to the Amazon
Eluniverso.com/ap reported three foreigners were killed Thursday in a car accident in an area close to Quito, and five others were injured, reported the emergency operations Committee. The director of that agency, Christian Rivera, speaking to the AP, said that the accident occurred “on the road to Papallacta”… when a tanker struck a van carrying eight foreigners of South African, Australian, German and English nationality aged 25 to 50 years. “Product of the accident three foreigners were killed, a man and two women, and the other five were taken to nearby hospitals,” he added.
