According to thedailystar.net, a man was killed and 10 others were injured as a girder of an under construction bridge collapsed on a tourist bus at Hazipur ferry terminal point on Kuakata-Patuakhali road yesterday morning The dead, Faruque Akand, 45, of Lachaple village in Kalapara upazila, was going to Patuakhali in the bus. He was critically injured and declared dead on arrival at Kalapara Upazila Health Complex. Five of the injured–Feroza Begum, Jogodish Chandra, Rina Begum, Aklima, and Ismail Hossain–were admitted to the heath complex while the rest given first aid at the hospital. Later, Jogodish and Rina were shifted to Barisal Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital for better treatment. Read article
