Hospital officials Nelson Gustavo Collado, Chitre City, yesterday confirmed the first case of a patient infected with KPC bacteria. Yuri Huerta, coordinator of Nosocomial Infection Committee of the hospital, explained that already received the laboratory report which confirms that the patient has the KPC bacteria.
This is a sick 19-year-old man from the city of Chitre, who was involved and has 25 days of being hospitalized, Huerta said that although his situation is stable, it is isolated. Read Article
